You Are Accepted: Christianity at its finest.

The following is a link to a chapter written by Paul Tillich–the great 20th century Protestant theologian and existentialist–entitled “You Are Accepted.” He sets out his own (or something more akin to a Kierkegaardian) understanding of grace and sin. And don’t be mislead by the title. “You Are Accepted” sound like words from a contemporary self-help charlatan. But hopefully the fact that Tillich is the author will make it clear that such is not the case here. This is some of the deepest shit there is. Absolutely beautiful.

“Sin” andgrace” are strange words; but they are not strange things. We find them whenever we look into ourselves with searching eyes and longing hearts. They determine our life. They abound within us and in all of life. May grace more abound within us!
